Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GreekLink’s website, mobile applications, or other services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and have authority to accept these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You must promptly update your information if it changes.

4. Subscriptions & Billing (Auto-Renew)

GreekLink offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Your payment method will be charged at purchase and at the start of each renewal period. Taxes may apply.

If you start a free trial or introductory offer, your account will be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If the price of your plan changes, we (or the store) will provide advance notice and you may choose to continue or cancel before the new price takes effect.

Platform-bound purchases. Purchases made on one platform (iOS, Android, or Web) are managed by that platform’s billing provider and generally are not transferable across platforms. Sign in with the same platform account to access your subscription on that platform’s devices.

5. Platform-Specific Terms

5.1 iOS (Apple)

• License: Your use of the iOS app is also governed by the Apple Standard EULA.
• Billing & Refunds: Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Privacy & Permissions: iOS privacy disclosures are provided in our Privacy Policy and App Store Connect’s App Privacy section. Certain features may request permissions (e.g., Location, Notifications).

5.2 Android (Google Play)

• Billing & Refunds: Subscriptions are billed by Google Play. Manage or cancel at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Refund guidance is available at Google Play Help.
• Privacy & Data Safety: Android privacy disclosures are provided in our Privacy Policy and Google Play’s Data Safety section. Certain features may request permissions (e.g., Location, Notifications).

5.3 Web (if applicable)

• Billing: Web subscriptions (if offered) are billed by our web payment provider. Manage your plan via our Billing Portal.
• Refunds: Web refunds, if any, follow our payment provider’s policies and applicable law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and will not:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or campus/organizational policies.
• Infringe or misappropriate intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or automated messages.
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorization.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the Service or its security.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others or to organize unlawful activity.

7. User Content & Takedown

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant GreekLink a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and transmit your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We may remove or disable access to content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or the rights of others. To report infringement or request takedown, contact legal@greeklink.app.

8. Location, Background Activity & Notifications

Some features (e.g., geofenced hours, reminders) rely on device permissions such as Location and Notifications. You can control these in your device settings. Certain features may not function if permissions are disabled. For more information about data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party platforms and providers (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, hosting, authentication, analytics). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service ("Content") are owned by GreekLink or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as allowed by applicable law or by written permission, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Content.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (including organization access) if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GreekLink and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GreekLink and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue lie in the state or federal courts located in Boise, Idaho, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Apple Standard EULA (for iOS licensing) and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding your use of the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
• Waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
